Thailand makes changes to immigration requirements
17.04.2024As part of efforts to simplify the entry and exit process, Thailand has announced a temporary suspension of the mandatory completion of immigration form TM6 for foreign tourists. This decision will be in effect from April 15 to October 15, 2024 at certain land and sea border crossings.
Land border points where the TM6 form is not required:
- Aranyaprathet and Mukdahan in Sa Kaew Province
- Nong Khai in the province of the same name
- Chieng Saen in Chiang Rai
- Padang Besar and Sadao in Songkhla
- Su-ngai Kolok in Narathiwat
- Betong in Yala
Border points for sea travelers:
- Pattaya, Si Racha and Si Chang in Chonburi
- Ta Phut in Rayong
- Phuket
- Krabi
- Surat Thani
- Samui to Surat Thani
This innovation is aimed at improving the tourist experience and speeding up the border crossing process, which is especially important during periods of high tourism demand.
