Thailand continues to expand its borders for tourists: visa-free entry for Kazakhstanis becomes permanent

22.04.2024

Thailand, a popular holiday and tourism destination, is once again proving its appeal by opening its doors to yet another country. Today, the Thai Cabinet of Ministers approved a permanent visa-free regime for citizens of Kazakhstan, which is welcomed as another step in the development of the country's tourism industry.

According to official data from the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the number of Kazakh tourists visiting the kingdom grew significantly last year, reaching 172,000. This is an impressive increase compared to previous years and demonstrates the growing interest of Kazakhstanis in this tropical country.

The main flow of Kazakh tourists to Thailand are families and married couples, which indicates the attractiveness of the kingdom as a place for family and romantic holidays.

The average length of stay of Kazakh tourists in Thailand is 14 days, and the average holiday expenditure per person is estimated at 75,000 baht. The number of Kazakh tourists is expected to continue to grow this year, with 220,000 arrivals predicted.

The move is also part of Thailand's strategy to attract more tourists from various countries. Earlier this year, a visa-free regime was established for Chinese citizens, which also contributed to an increase in the flow of tourists.

Thailand remains one of the world's top tourist destinations, attracting people with its beautiful beaches, rich cultural heritage and hospitality. The constant expansion of the list of countries enjoying a visa-free regime only emphasizes the popularity of this amazing place among travelers.
